And she wasn't the only one.

The house was full of restless spirits—all of them killed by the Antiquus Ordo Arcanum, a secret society that didn't seem to care much for the welfare of either the living or the dead. And Mason and I—along with Hart and Sylvia—are right in the middle of it. Again.

This is my third time listening to the series and it's still one of my favourite! The world building is very nice what with the effects of arcana virus and the characters are really funny and also deep. They totally grew on me, and I really loved to see them grow and overcome their insecurities and such. The crime setting is also good, because the outcome wasn't predictable. Only Jackson seemd a bit younger than his years - I would have totally let him cut those tomatoes! 😸
The narrator got real skill!! The different voices were amazing and the reading speed perfect! All the emotions were transported appropriately and the scenes with all the action were extremely thrilling!
I'm going to listen to the next part now, where Heart has his story.
