Undeniably Cute
Yes, the royal romance vibe is fun in a YOUNG ROYALS meets RED WHITE AND ROYAL BLUE way. And the speaker of the prince, with a „Norwegian“ accent, is adorable. (His American counterpart slightly less so, in terms of voice.) The story never tries to go deep, it’s ludicrous in a predicable way. And frustrating (when the football captain suddenly has an epiphany about his career … and that was that?) But maybe one shouldn’t expect anything deeper or believable here, just fluffy entertainment. As such … this is highly enjoyable. Never screwbally. Or emotionally gripping. And over in a blink. With an infuriatingly banal epilogue. I wonder what part 2 will be like. I look forward to finding out.
