If you liked tge previous ones, you will like this one and Traves Baldree (sry if the name is spelled wrong) is a really good narrator and listening to so many books makes me appreciate him and his like more and more.

Too little progression

This one is kinda tough. The whole book deals with the treasure hunt, meaning ten days of in-world progression. While everything is written beautifully, it isn't quite what i expected. Some 3000 pages into a story most authors pack way more progression into their Charakters to keep the reader entertained. Not to say it isn't entertaining, but forJake to become a god it will take at least 30 more books with 17-20h playtime at least at this pace, which is kinda insane and would take years, whoch i dont wanna wait for some Finale.

Zogarth is finally using some summaries to condense progression, but even those could be shorter. The fights take forever, while its well written and vosualized, it takes too much away from my expected progression - much the same as with the Golem fight in the previous book.

Spoiler: what I find somewhat sad is the non-commital to having important people die or Jake failing at some point - the duel is a draw, but still - jake never loses. This is a set expectation and takes away from me fun.

Good but …

The treasure hunt is a nice side story with more character interactions as we used to see in the other books.

The end is rather unsatisfying though and kicks you directly into the waiting game for the next book…

Additionally I would have preferred the two (three) main fights to be much (much!) shorter and instead present more of the exploration and way more interactions with our snake god.

Diese Reihe gefällt mir sehr gut bis auf die langandauernden erzählungen über stats growth ist es eine gut geschriebene Reihe von einem neuen autor der dazu lernt

Not enough story

First I really like the previous books are awesome and I think you can buy this one as well.
But..
- the hole book is only about the treasure hunt
- no new characters
- no real character development
- no Willy
- no town and earth progress
- almost only Jake killing vampires on his own

Stick to your gun

Great as always, but I really hope the author does not keep that fight lenght in coming books. I get that this was Jakes most diffficult fight yet and in principle was quite nice, but 3 or more hours for one fucking fight? These prolonged fights are usually the reason I quit a serie, as its signal less creative world and charakter developing. At least in my experience. Stick to your guns! A great mc and others with awesome and fun interactions, unexpecting creatures, crafting items and skills, overcoming challenges in creative ways and Villy? This is the way! I dont need to fear if he gets beaten in an "oh what a surprise he lived" kinda style. I just have to enjoy the way he wins, because we all know he will survive. Don't push our patience. For reference, as Travis reads this, take Legends & Latte, not a single real fight in it and its going through the roof. Or to quite the Viper, "Keep to your style. The way to godhood is a marathon not a sprint." ;)
Sorry for the long text, but I really hope Zogarth reads this, because its my most favorite LitRPG and I'm 170 deep in. It should stay the best!!

War schon besser..

Leider geht es nur um die Schatzjagd. Mehr wäre schön gewesen. Auch die Kämpfe sind für mich zu detailliert. Und Willy fehlt mir zum größten Teil. Teilweise gibt es auch Soundfehler. Alles in allem etwas schwach.

Just great

Im in love this series. Interesting worldbuilding and nice characters. Only minor annoyance: i wish the lvl ups etc would be shortened. We already heard a fewhundred times u get extra xp for killing someone a higher lvl. Stuff like that could be shorter

Staying strong

This whole book basically covers just the treasure hunt event that was teased by the system before. Not to say it won’t be eventful and quite interesting with both action and exploration. This time he will act mostly alone with only a few short cooperations if useful
