Über diesen Titel
I've seen him on the news. Followed the stories about what happened in Ohio. John Smith, out there, on the run. To the world, he's a mystery. But to me . . . he's one of us.
Nine of us came here, but sometimes I wonder if time has changed us - if we all still believe in our mission. How can I know? There are six of us left. We're hiding, blending in, avoiding contact with one another...but our Legacies are developing, and soon we'll be equipped to fight. Is John Number Four, and is his appearance the sign I've been waiting for? And what about Number Five and Six? Could one of them be the raven-haired girl with the stormy eyes from my dreams? The girl with powers that are beyond anything I could ever imagine? The girl who may be strong enough to bring the six of us together?
They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They tried to catch Number Four in Ohio - and failed.
I am Number Seven. One of six still alive.
And I'm ready to fight.
Also included is a sneak listen to the first chapter of the next book in the series. Enjoy!

totally illogical, poor story
I have listened through the complete series. It was a torment at the end. Each book follows the same pattern. The guard rushes naively forward to crush their enemies. These scenes are downright ridiculous. The enemy is often overwhelmingly strong, has completely destroyed all resistance and hurt the guard so badly that they should actually be dead. But for unknown reasons they are not killed. Insteat, they are told over and over that they will be killed now, until they are rescued by some unlikely coincidence. Moreover, in the heat of a battle, the reader is usually bothered with some completly irrelevant self-reflexion of the fighter. In fact, the guard members are quite often standing aside, thinking about this and that, while their friends got almost killed. They act permantly in a way no one, not even immature teenagers, would do. Lore just wants to create a thrilling situation by that poor trick and sacrifices all logic to this stylistic device. And then there is so much repetition and commenting on the obvious. That is so boring. The series could be shortened to the half without significant loss of content. Over all, the complete series is a simple good guy bad guy story and has a poor kind of narration. Two stars, because at least some of the characters are amiable.
