Inhaltsangabe
My name is Vinna, and my magic is an asshole.
I mean, what else would you call it when it does whatever it wants, whenever it wants?
Now I have Enoch and his coven looking at me like I'm the one, and a bunch of pissed-off Chosen.
I have no answers and no time to deal with this shit. Lachlan and Keegan managed to get themselves caught by Adriel, the big bad lamia who murders and hunts Sentinels.
Time is running out, and if my Chosen and I can't get battle ready, then we're destined to become more names on the list of the missing.
It's time to meet the lamia who's been coming for me my whole life. It's time to do what no one else has been able to do. It's time to cut the f--ker's head off.
Contains mature themes.

Just as amazing as the first two books
Another great book in this series. Fully with emotions and more saucy scenes :). Amazing performance by the narrator again!

Good but...
Spoiler Alert.
The first book was good and promising. Though there were too many people appearing too fast and too many names and new things at once. It was sometimes difficult do know who is who and what is what. I don't know if it is at the end of book 1 or the start of book 2 that Vinna starts to act very inmature and unreasonable. She rejects all members of her uncles coven and says things like "you watched them suck me dry over and over again" which doesn't make sense. I just sat there thinking over and over again "what did they do? What are you talking about?"
Then it repeats with her mates that they act unreasonable. Small simple communication could solve some situations but they just don't ask the right (and obvious) questions.
Then there are the discussions and arguments that go in circles between one and the other coven.
The reasons for the distrust are just reasonable to some degree and could be solved by talking about it propperly and having "the wolf" tell everyone, of someone is lying.
This book now got bad, because two people die and I HATE stories where "main side characters" die. Especially if you just started to like them or had been starting to become more close to them. If someone dies in stories, they either should be old or die for a good reason.
This is not the case here and it's written in a way that I first thought "he will die but he can't die" then I thought "oh he's not gonna die" and then he died never the less. For a long time, I thought maybe he didn't die and got saved from a Vampire. But he didn't.
Therefore there is a person reappearing everyone thought about being death but who isn't the one, he used to be and it is unclear, if he can be saved. And again Vinnas unreasonable reaction like "you lied to me, you knew he's not death but told me he is" Well she was told that he is gone and so far, it seems like it is the truth. Don't get why someone would react to that by throwing a tantrum because someone "lied" to her. It wasn't a lie and shes acting like a lie is the worst thing ever. I get that she has a difficult past but never the less, I really dislike these kind of reactions from her.
Then she and her mates joke around completely like as if nothing had happened shortly after a major fight where they lost someone and also shortly after loosing the first one.
I get that you don't hang around deeply depressed all the time after someone dies, but you usually don't laugh about the most stupid things as if the world is completely perfect.
The speaker is okay, though she has a complete lack of using her voice right. She's not even lowering her voice when a Male speaks, so I constantly have to concentrate, who's talking to who. And when Vinna thinks, it's often also not clear if she's speaking or just thinking.
Am aware it's difficult to read in a way, that things are made clearer and that I am most likely spooled from very good readers who even manage to give characters one specific voice and manage to somewhat keep that vouce over several books with changing main characters. But when you have no imitation and acting skills at all, you maybe shouldn't read audio books.
However I'm still able to listen to, so as I said, it's okay.
