My first book of Rosanna White. Quite an unexpected and heartwarming plot. Appreciated some of the insightful dialogues. Especially the inclusion of telling part of the story from Deidre's perspective, the housemaid, brings an unusual but excellent note into the story. The narrator does an amazing job - the voice is balanced and natural, the different dialects and emotional situations masterly displayed. A true enjoyment to listen. (The abstract however is a little misleading, which does no harm to the overall pleasure with this book)
