Die Geschichte ist nicht wirklich stimmig und auch nicht spannend. Die Sprecherin der Nella liest zu tragend und erzeugt eine nicht passende Stimmung. Das Verhältnis der beiden Protagonistinnen aus den 18. Jahrhundert ist nicht schlüssig genug beschrieben. Die Idee des Buches ist gut, aber es ist nicht wirklich etwas Gutes aus der Idee geworden.

Nicht zu ahnen wie es ausgehen mag, der Spannungsaufbau im Verlauf der Erzählung, die Entwicklung der Beziehung zwischen den Frauen und die herbal Remedies.

Cringeworthy dialogues; basically nothing happens in the present-day storyline. Predictable plot right from the beginning. Overall boring book and big disappointment.

The book is read by 3 different women.
1 of them is reading Nella, the other one Eliza and the third Caroline.

Caroline's voice is ok. Her story is predictable though. Some good thoughts from a strong woman.
Eliza's voice is ok-ish, the story doesn't make sense though.
Nella is absolutely and utterly impossible to listen to. Her voice is too dramatic. It could be an ok story but you can't concentrate on it because the voice is so awful. She tries to have a very deep voice with an English accent. It doesn't sound right.
Excruciatingly horrible to listen to.
