Über diesen Titel

The Liberal Rednecks - a three-man stand-up comedy group doing scathing political satire - celebrate all that's good about the South while leading the Redneck Revolution and standing proudly blue in a sea of red.

Smart, hilarious, and incisive, the Liberal Rednecks confront outdated traditions and intolerant attitudes, tackling everything people think they know about the South - the good, the bad, the glorious, and the shameful - in a laugh-out-loud funny and lively manifesto for the rise of a New South. Home to some of the best music, athletes, soldiers, whiskey, waffles, and weather the country has to offer, the South has also been bathing in backward bathroom bills and other bigoted legislation that Trae Crowder has targeted in his Liberal Redneck videos, which have gone viral, with over 50 million views.

Perfect for fans of Stuff White People Like, I Am America (and So Can You), and Dear White People, The Liberal Redneck Manifesto skewers political and religious hypocrisies in witty stories such as the Ten Commandments of the New South and much more! While celebrating the South as one of the richest sources of American culture, this entertaining audiobook issues a wake-up call and a reminder that the South's problems and dreams aren't that far off from the rest of America's.

An eye-opener and must-read for all Americans!

I am a minority female American living over 20 years in Germany. Strangely enough, I discovered Trae Crowder after the murder of George Floyd. Never really politically motivated, I changed my attitude on politics the moment Trump decided to run for president. My love for comedy found a different avenue of fulfilment through political comedy, and goodness gracious does the liberal redneck deliver in that category!

Trae, Drew and Corey have done something amazing with this book. With their attempt to bring you closer to better understanding the South, they manage to teach you a thing or two on history, tackle practically all negative "isms" and phobias plaguing much of the world, make you question your own ethical composition, use genuine, introspective honesty to depict their view on all elements of society - family, religion, community, government, etc. but most of all, they are incredibly human and compassionate towards the realities ailing our society as a whole! AND..... they do it with gobbles of humor! Honestly, if you are not laughing throughout this book, there is a gene missing in you, perhaps even several!

If you have a problem with profanity, please try to get pass it!!! These guys are so smart and insightful that the proper insertion of expletives on just the right moment only makes the reading even more enjoyable. On that note, I can only vehemently recommend getting the audio book. For those just "reading" the book, you are totally missing out! I kept catching my own self falling into the age-old stereotype and thinking, "how can anyone with that drawl be so intelligent, eloquent and funny at the same time"?

I swear that after finishing this book, I genuinely wanted to be a better person! To the authors I would just like to say how much I connected with so many aspects of your lives and that I hope you continue inspiring, particularly your fellow Americans.
