overall a nice entry
as a base building litrpg this is slightly different from the other genre entries. personally I found the story quite intriguing and well written, however as a first entry in a series it wasn't outstanding. the audiobook was competently produced, however not all of the voices really clicked with me and some were downright annoying.

Must like dogs
I liked it. It is not the best book I ever listened to but it kept me interested and hooked until the end. The book takes a different approach to the usual litRPG theme. If you enjoy a book about building and repairing different things, and who can appreciate the value of skills that complement these activities, then this book is for you. If you like an MC who dominates the battlefield and kills his enemies left and right, this book may not be for you. There is fighting- the MC is good at it, but his focus lies elsewhere. You should also like dogs or as a cat person, be open to something new!
The protagonist doesn't like to talk to humans. The narrator underlined this fact by giving the MC the voice of someone who is rarely speaking (every word is a pain to get out - the listener can hear the discomfort) (in my opinion). I did have some trouble getting used to the protagonist's voice but I managed and it worked out in the end.
Would I read the second book when it comes out? Definitely!
