Inhaltsangabe
For anyone who's ever been on the receiving end of an unsolicited dick pic....
He has the muscles of Adonis, an ego bigger than the sun, and a very clear desire to get back in my pants. Which would be fantastic if he weren't a SEAL and I wasn't a criminal.
Although, I prefer the term avenger. I'm a hacktivist, cleaning up the cesspool of cyberspace one scam artist and troll at a time, and I sometimes bend a few rules to get justice done.
He's a military man with abs of glory, sworn to uphold the letter of the law no matter its shortcomings. And if he'd known who - or what - I was, I doubt he would've banged me at my best friend's wedding reception. Or come back for more.
Which is why he's now the only thing standing between me and one very pissed-off internet troll who's figured out where I live. I'm pretty sure he'll get me out of this alive - and quite satisfied, thank you very much - but I'm also pretty sure this mission will end with me in handcuffs.
And not the good kind of handcuffs.
Contains mature themes.

painful
Just plain fucking weird & awkward... and not in a good way. I like characters with weird antics and funny banter but this was just painful to read. I don't know how I got through the whole book but I wanted to give it a chance since it was my first time reading something from Pippa Grant. But boooy did I waste my time.
The MMC had such hugh ego that he just pissed me off. We never really get to know him or his problems. His only personality trait is the fact that he is a SEAL and that makes him feel like a god.
The FMC was worse than a 14 year old boy.
The reasoning for her weird ass behaviour wasn't really it and even though her crazy shit takes over most of the book we also never really get to know her (the only normal and real moment we get is with her brother).
Neither the romantic plot nor the suspense plot could salvage anything.
I didn't see any chemistry beween the main characters. They just fought a bit, had weird sex and ignored how normal human beings communicate. The suspsense part was not particular...interesting. Nothing really happend and everything that happend wasn't shown. We just get a short "xy happened everything's like that" and that's it.
Might be a controversial take but I had troubles to understand Teddy Hamiltons narration. He somehow sounded like a halfway decent Donald Trump impersonator and it made things so much worse. (Maxine Mitchell for the win though.)
Also I have never ever heard so many (food related) synonyms for genitals or sex and I wish I never did and if I have to hear the word "shlong" ever again imma do a van gogh and chop my ears off.
