While this is the first book in a series, The Hellion was almost too confusing for a reader who hasn't read any of the author's previous books.
There were so many characters & plots mentioned I had no clue about, which made the first half of the book drag on a little.
But I liked the premise, and Cleopatra was a refreshing FMC for a Historical Romance.
I couldn't fully feel invested in the characters, but that could also be because of my mood, and I was zoning out a lot while listening.
I’d still say give this book a shot if you crave a Historical Romance.
