Über diesen Titel
Will Sutherland hasn't been home to see his parents in four years - not since they reacted badly when he came out. This Christmas, he’s finally worked up the courage to go home, where he's surprised to find they've taken in a boarder. Ryan Bennett is just a couple years younger than Will, cute, sweet...and openly gay.
As Will deals with his jealousy of the man who's been receiving the love and acceptance he was denied, Ryan finds himself falling for Will's brooding good looks. But Ryan also suspects the Sutherlands may be using him as a pawn in their long-standing conflict with their son. Will this Christmas finally tear the family apart, or is there a chance they can put their hurt and anger behind them.

Review on The Healing Power of Eggnog
Every year during the Advent season I love listening to my favourite Xmas Audio Books. Jamie Fessenden's The Healing power of Eggnog being one of them. This is something sweet for my heart, with a happy smile at the end.
Will Sutherland returns home for Christmas after 4 years of absence. He is totally baffled to find out his parents have a good-looking house guest, they almost treat like he would be his younger brother.
Ryan wonders what is eating Will and why Diane and Garry are acting so weird, like walking on egg shells. It takes some Christmas party preperations, tree decorating and several cups of homemade eggnog until the old conflict in this family is revealed and Will and Ryan's tender feelings of comradery turn into something more.
Robbie Ravena does a brilliant job narrating this heartwarming story of love and forgivness. His interpretations of young, emotional Ryan and cautious, irritated and hurt Will are well done. Their getting closer might feel a bit fast, but the hot scenes are gentle and their conversations are beliveable.
Amazing again how much Jamie Fessenden has packed into this short story of just 2 hours listening time. I had been very touched by Diane and Gary and their herculian effort to first realize they had been misled by a religious person, then turn their lives around and try to mend things with their son, although they don't really know what to do and say. Talking about important things never has been a strong skill for the Sutherland family. With Ryan acting as a catalysator, this miracle finally happens.
