Story ok, the speaker unfortunately not
Würden Sie dieses Hörbuch einem Freund empfehlen? Wenn ja, was würden Sie ihm dazu sagen?
The story is ok, imaginative and twisty, can keep interest. A pity that the book is read in a very unnatural artificial strange way - inflection, tone, sentence endings are illogical. One has to put in extra effort to keep the story in check because the poor reading is very distracting.

The worst narrator I’ve experienced
The story lost a lot of its power with this boring narrator. It was often slow and not always appropriate to the situation. It would also have been good if the narrator would have listened at least to some of the narrations of the previous books in the series, so there’s not such a significant dissonance when somebody is listening to the whole series.
Worst, when he ‘intones’ most of the characters, they sound as if they’re stupid.
Update
Have tried the audio book again after several years as I really liked the stories but it reminds me why it’s the only series that I liked but never finished … and indeed the only speaker I ever gave a poor review.
Unfortunately, he was further employed to narrate the series. So, I guess the series ends for me once again. If there’d be a different narrator, I’d love to continue the series.
