Really nice read for a scifi book. Keeps the pace. But to much open questions and to much word plays. But a nice book :3

Der zweite Band erzählt eine gross angelegte Geschichte, mit vielen überraschenden und einigen vorhersehbaren Entwicklungen. Die 2 Sprechenden ergänzen sich ausgezeichnet. Die Autorin hat sich die Mühe gemacht, die Hauptfiguren mehrdimensional zu gestalten. Nicht alles wird gesagt, vieles bleibt angedeutet. Gut so.

The narrators here are outstanding, especially the male narrator’s work giving voice to the female characters — he makes them come across as cocky, almost like an unpredictable force of nature. Genuinely fantastic performance.

The pacing is impressive throughout. Some twists are fairly predictable, but others land as genuine surprises.

The book fits well into the current moment for the genre — it could easily pass for something out of the Star Wars universe or a fantasy novel. And yet it lives entirely on its protagonists. They have remarkable depth. This is an all-around fascinating book that makes the impossible possible purely through its characters’ sheer will, without a trace of magic

And if they didn’t die on the way from their bunk to the deck, they’re still talking. The author has a unique talent: where others write one sentence he takes half an our to describe and let people talk. On the other hand he cuts every action short, so the book isn’t too long.
No recommendation.
