Die meisten beschriebenen Protagonisten, insbesondere James, sind eher unsympathisch und werden auch im Laufe der Handlung nicht viel sympathischer, was eigentlich sehr realistisch ist, aber trotzdem enttäuschend.
Es gibt auch, aber wenige, erotische Szenen und die sind eher angedeutet.
Die Handlung besteht zu einem relativ großen Teil aus Dialogen. Aber das Buch ist nie langweilig.
Die Sprecherin liegt mir in dieser Serie einfach nicht, ich mag ihre teilweise sehr theatralische Interpretation der jungen Damen nicht.

I don't even know where to start. I listen to a lot of like novels, but this was the first (and last) by this author. Nothing really happens in this book. The male main character is a petulant, self absorbed man-child who undergoes zero personal development and who always rants against his love interest. Even in the last chapter. Then he says "I love you" while still angry and somehow that concludes the story. Almost all other storyline are simply not finished, the house is never cleared out and renovated (although the Duke is supposedly wealthy he tries doing it by himself - what!?), the random lost heir of his grandmother is never found (the guy never makes an effort, despite his granny asking him several times throughout the book). And so on. It had potential, but it was a waste of time for me.
