Über diesen Titel

From USA Today bestselling author Judy Corry comes a passion and angst-charged romance about star-crossed best friends and the secrets that threaten to tear them apart.

I'm trying very hard not to be in love with my best friend. After all, we've "been there, done that." Or rather, we dated for three amazing weeks last spring before Scarlett's overprotective dad found out and made her break up with me.

And now that I've left her dad's church, there's no chance for us. I'm considered dangerous—a threat. Though, it's really the secrets I hold that scare Pastor Caldwell the most.

As long as I don't talk about why I left The Fold, her dad won't transfer Scarlett from our private boarding school before graduation.

But when Scarlett is set up with a college guy from their church, I know waiting on the sidelines is no longer an option. I need to break out of the friend zone. Fast.

If only doing that didn't require telling her the secret I've been keeping for six months.

Because when Scarlett discovers the truth, I might just lose her forever.

I am so much struggling with the religious part in this book. I really loved the other books from Eden Falls Academy but this book I would have stopped hearing if it would be a standalone novel. I am a non believer and for me there are many parts which are sounding like dangerous cult habits… I can’t empathise with this strong religious believes and for me it is really hard to hear how this young love is having so much problems because of the religion of Scarlett’s (and Hunter’s) family. For me the believes are just sounding too toxic and I am not enjoying to hear this.
At least Judy Corry does a really good job in describing the situation and sadly I think this could be a real story. I just can’t imagine how a young woman is raised with this believes and let her father and her religion choose which man she should marry… I really hope there is still a Happy End for Hunter and Scarlett… but for me it was really not easy to listen to the story.

Luckily a nice Happy Ending :)

The religious part is just too much for me
