"Adam depicts Dev as a mix of dreamy and dramatic, showing his idealistic side and his love for the show. Adam’s flowing narration smooths out the author’s occasional didacticism. Halstead voices Charlie Winshaw, the show’s star and a tech genius who suffers from OCD and generalized anxiety. Halstead accurately represents Charlie’s stilted TV performance, hesitant speech, and withdrawn manner. Cassandra Campbell delivers the daily script updates, her voice creating needed contrast among the sections. With meticulous attention to Dev and Charlie’s singular romance, Adam and Halstead paint a lively picture of reality TV."

This book has given me so much more than I expected. It taught me about myself and I found great comfort in it.
I haven't read a lot of books about queer characters that also depict mental illness realistically. It is explored in depth here and that may sound dark, the book always manages to give you hope throughout the hard parts. I saw myself reflected in the amazingly diverse queer cast (incredible asexual representation!!) and their struggles and cried a fair bit too.
Altough it is a romcom, the book portrays the hard sides of love realistically and teaches you to love yourself and that you are deserving of love when you are mentally ill.

I absolutely loved this book. I’m asexual and the representation in this book caught me off guard and meant a lot lo me. I love the story love the representation. Sometimes the narrator could’ve done a better job nevertheless great book, do recommend

I loved every moment. It’s the end of September and so far this book is my fav read / listen this year ♥️
It’s uplifting, fun and wholesome while also incorporating important and serious topics like mental health.

Wow!! I'm actually a little bit speechless... This story was recommended in a RW&RB Facebook group, and I immediately looked it up.
I listened to this story over the last three days, and I am so in love!! The story itself is amazing and the writing is incredible. The author did such a great job addressing mental health issues, and describing Charlie's panic attacks... It's a emotional Rollercoaster - a love story with exactly the right amount of angst!

It would make for an incredible movie 😍
