"I once was homeless, hungry, and afraid. I was cast away by society, deemed a street urchin not worth their time. I felt as if I was a ghost fading into the wind. Over the years, homeless people have been looked at as a problem. When in truths, they are not. They are not a political issue or a scourge. When I was homeless I came across a wide range of people. With stories that deserve to be told. Maybe these poems will change something.... Maybe they won't.... All that matters is that they change you. No one can understand the feeling of being homeless and hungry until they've experienced it themselves. Through these poems, you will hear the voice of the forsaken; my lost brothers' and sisters'.
