Rule one: Don't look at the demon.
When I arrived at my uncle's house, I expected my relatives to be like me - outcast sorcerers who don't practice magic. I was right about the sorcery, but wrong about everything else.
Rule two: Don't listen to the demon.
My uncle chose a far deadlier power. He calls creatures of darkness into our world, binds them into service contracts, and sells them to the highest bidder. And I'm supposed to act like I don't know how illegal and dangerous it is.
Rule three: Don't talk to the demon.
All I had to do was keep my nose out of it. Pretend I didn't find the summoning circle in the basement. Pretend I didn't notice the shadowy being trapped inside it. Pretend I didn't break the rules. But I did, and now it's too late.

Definately Entertaining
Yes, strange narrator voice, but it fits the character perfect! Finished it within two days :) ups!

Absolut genial!!!
Ich habe jede Sekunde dieser ganzen Reihe geliebt. Die Autorin ist brilliant und schafft es einen von Anfang bis Ende mit Spannung, Witz und einer genialen Story zu fesseln.

Hard to stop listening
Hard to stop listening. I like the humor. The narrators way to speak as the demon and the demon itself is very entertaining..

Amazing
I finished this in one day. It was so good i couldn't stop to listen. The story is captivating and the characters work really well together. They are as unsure and as faulty as real people are, which made me connect to them very well. I loved every second of this book and can't wait for the rest of the series.

Great storytelling, world building, and chemistry
This is my third time re-reading Annette Marie’s Guild Codex: Demonized Series, the first time listening to the audio book though. I truly can not recommend this story enough! My only complaint is due to me being very picky when it comes to narrated character voices, especially regarding accents and different languages: the narrator performed the passages in the demon tongue very convincingly, it really sounded like its own language, coherent and cohesive. Only when Zylas talked to Robin in his mother tongue did she slip into giving him an english accent which threw me off sometimes, but nevertheless did not take away in the slightest from my overall enjoyment of the gripping story, the immersive world, and the intriguing characters!

Wonderful

Sassy, sacrastic and nerdily cute!
I totally loved the cute, nerdy Robin as main character. Together with her sassily sarcastic demon partner she brought this story to live. Seriously one of the best books I’ve read/ audiobooks I listened in month! Can’t wait for part 2.

Great Spin-Off!
Like the Guild Codex Series this spin-off about Robin, the demon contractor is awesome fast-paced-urban fantasy. I listened to it almost in one go, unable to take a break from the suspense the author creates brilliantly. The speaker is very good and her voice, though it's not deep, is pleasant to listen to.

getting better and better, need to hear the next
Die meisten amerikanischen Sprecher gefallen mir nicht, aber dieser war ganz okay und passte zur Protagonistin.
Keine große, aber dafür detaillierte Welt.
Das Tempo gefiel mir auch sehr gut, eines der wenigen Fantasy Bücher, die ich neu fand, das einem nicht alles doppelt erklärt.
Anfangs eine leicht nervige Naivität des Hauptcharakters, die sich aber schnell auswächst.
Guter Geschichtsaufbau, bin gespannt auf den zweiten Teil.
