Sympathische Figuren, ein etwas anderer Ansatz, die "Monstergeschichten" aufzunehmen, angenehme Sprecherin und mit Suchtfaktor.
Einziges Manko: Keinerlei Pausen zwischen den Kapiteln/Szenesprüngen, was immer wieder kurz verwirrt.

A surprisingly originals twist to the common supernatural books out there. Vampires, ghouls, mummies and demons are just a few in this wonderfully witty and highly entertaining book that we are introduced to. I am greatly enjoying every second and don’t know whether to read on faster for the pure joy of the story or slower to keep it going longer!

For anyone who enjoys the supernatural, a mix of the past, the present and the future all wrapped up with wit and fun, you will love this book!

I would have liked a bit more modulation for the different characters' voices. sometimes I was confused who was speaking to whom.
something that is perhaps rather down to editing than the narrator: the breaks between paragraphs were often hardly noticeable as such which also sometimes caused me confusion.

character- and storywise though I thoroughly enjoyed it. (except that I wasn't really feeling the budding romance, I kind of would have preferred a different pairing. but oh well. let's see how it goes in the next book(s)!

it is getting very addictive. And who doesn't like to listen to characters fetting close and into friendship.

As a great fan of dark fiction/mystery , as well as real-crime-stories, and history novels, I would call this book a real gem as it manages to create an exciting, yet funny, and entirely entertaining symbioses of all my favorite genres.
All characters seem - surprisingly - real, even though they are not of this world (not human at all). So, please, Vivian Shaw, write more books and continue this story!
