Great story

Story: Basically this is a great disaster movie. We are introduced to a fair and ultimately Desaster strikes. That disaster was a slight bit too long for my tastes, but once it’s over and you think you are dealing with the winding down, Cavan Scott still has a trick up his sleeve and the ending was truly gripping and shocking. Can’t wait for the Fallen Star… well, being a completionist, I’ll first deal with the other stories around g the republic fair :-)

As always the quality of the audio adaptation is astounding. Apart from music and sound effects, Marc Thompson is such a versatile voice actor he makes you believe this book is read by a full cast rather than just one actor. Although a few times he goes a little over board and makes some characters a bit hard to understand, especially when the audio team adds in some vocal effects. Similarly the music sometimes misses the tone and ramps up the action when I felt suspense was more what the author was going for.
But those are minor issues. Great story, great production. For some petty tie in media to a film series Star Wars continues to deliver stellar material!

The story and the characters are just awesome. I consider it one of the best SW books I’ve read or listened to.

The storyline is average, and for the most part predictable. Makes it a mediocre story.
But the storyteller knows their business, that's some really nice work.

It's hard to follow the High Republic era. I've read every book and comic but the amount of characters is just too high. This book adds even more, each one with a forgettable name and of (even to me as a huge SW fan) sometimes unknown alien species. Don't make me start a spreadsheet of characters...

As always, the production of this Star Wars audiobook is great.
