Über diesen Titel
Star Druid: Publisher's Pack contains books 1 and 2 of the Star Druid series.
Star Druid, book 1:
What is an exiled druid to do when their order is destroyed by a rising tide of darkness?
1. Seize magical power.
2. Get rich.
3. Gather a harem of beautiful women.
4. Revenge. Sweet, sweet revenge.
The Burning Grove, book 2:
Antihero or villain?
The rebuilding of the Druid order is going well but those who attacked it the first time have not given up on their schemes and once more Banok finds himself on a mission that he'll do anything to complete. Brutal choices and twists abound.
Note: This series is space fantasy. Real physics are ignored, and spells are slung. There is also violence, sex, and other things people might enjoy.

Great start, goes bad over time
Pretty much what the title says, the characters in the beginning have depth, the story is mysterious and interesting, but then one writing mistake after the other slowly grinds the story down to a boring fetch quest.
1.1. they give the protagonist to much power and then always have to find some excuse why he can't just use that power to destroy the obstacles
1.2. the powers of the protagonist are extremly inconsistent, in one moment he can blow up a star and shield his entire ship against that force in the next moment shielding a few ppl against poison gas brings him to his limit
2. the deep characters from the beginning are turned into one dimensional personalities by the end of book 1, for example Cleo changes from a very intelligent, risk loving mystery to the genius whos only real job is to make the plot move forward by comming up with plans
3. the protagonist doesn't try to learn from other better skilled magic users the moment he has the chance even though that's his biggest obstacle everytime
4. the sexual telationships are forced and the only relationship that feels remotely believeable is with Cleo
5. The only reason I see for why Astra talks so little is because the autor had no idea what to do with her after she was written in
There are other things but these are the main points for me.
