Inhaltsangabe
Ten years ago, Dominic Walsh faked his own death. With no true identity, it wasn’t hard. But if he’d stayed, he would have been drawn further into a life he’d never chosen. He has friends and family at Ward Security now and has managed to escape his dark past. There is only one thing he truly wants: Abraham Stephens.
When Dom was first tasked with watching over his friend’s father, he didn’t expect to fall so hard for the gorgeous silver fox. But Abe is interested in friendship only. He’s at a point in his life where he wants something permanent, not a romp with the sexy redhead who happens to be the same age as his son.
But Abe finds himself drawn deeper into Dom’s life when cryptic messages start appearing - ones that frighten the skilled security specialist. The more Dom tries to hide what’s happening, the more Abe wants to help him.
And maybe, just maybe, he’ll find a way to trust the strength of the bond Dom understood from the start.

Dom + Abe in the crosshairs of a dangerous weirdo
Ever since Dominic had been tasked to keep Shane´s father safe during the case of „Dantes Unglued“, he has fallen hard for the much older man. But Abe only seems to be interested in his friendship. Suddenly cryptic messages appeare all over the city neither the police nor Quinn+Gidget seem to decipher. Dom knows this code and that his carefully hidden past has caught up with him. He fears for his new chosen family at Ward Security and for Abe, heading out to face the disaster alone before all hell really breaks loose. But his friends and Abe won´t allow that.
From the previous missions I already had liked Dominic, who seemed the funny, carefree guy even in the darkest situations. But just like Royce, Dominic was hiding his criminal past (wonder if this is a secret requirement of Rowe when he hires bodyguards). Jocelynn Drake and Rinda Elliott have written another awesome installment and amazed me, how obviously seaminglessly they keep enlarging their Unbreakable Bond Universe. Only the showdown final left me a bit sad and unsatisfied. With so many highly trained security and military specialists I would imagine there should be more options for catching the bad guy than the solution Rowe´s men end up with in each story.
Kenneth Obi has done another stunning job and I was captured how Abe and Dom would overcome their larger age gap and not screw up their already good friendship of lots of laughter and sweet moments. Both men sound so lifelike during the fast paced action and the emotional & hot scenes my ears really turned red by listening in on them * smile *. Thanks a lot Mr. Obi for bringing my most favourite Ward Security pairing really “alive”.
