Through a sweeping study of the structures, myths, beliefs, and spiritual traditions of the major Western civilizations, the author compares the characteristics of the modern world with those of traditional societies. The domains explored include politics, law, the rise and fall of empires, the history of the Church, the doctrine of the two natures, life and death, social institutions and the caste system, the limits of racial theories, capitalism and communism, relations between the sexes, and the meaning of warriorhood. Any review would do this work injustice. One complaint would be the audio quality however, but this isn't an issue with this book. Or rather, the recording quality.

Some lines have been re recorded and inserted retroactively and its unpleasantly noticeable. I would propose to re record the entire book instead of inserting certain words or sentences/ addendums (pleibian) dozens of times in post production. Also the quality of the microphone varies it seems.

However this does not in any shape or form take away from the experience. I'm thankful this work still exists and it's so easily obtainable through Amazon. Wonder how long this will be the case though.
