--The epic conclusion to the Tidecaller Chronicles--
The floods are here, and though she has learned of an artifact that can stop them, Aletheia is no closer to finding it. Worse, a newly-destroyed city may be proof her enemies have found the artifact first, and are using its power to reshape the world.
There’s only solution: infiltrate their temples and palaces and floating cities, steal the artifact if they have it, and kill them if the chance arises. It’s a team of five against an empire, but they’ve faced worse.
Unless the floods are not the work of man, and all Aletheia has learned since she fled the temple is not enough. Unless her god is testing her, to see if she is worthy of calling the tides. The answer she finds, in the darkness of her heart, will be the salvation of the world—or the thing that condemns it to drown.
Queen of Blood and Blasphemy is the revelation-packed conclusion of the award-winning Tidecaller Chronicles. If you like strong female leads, clever magic, and pause-resisting action, you'll love this epic fantasy adventure.

Final book of the Tidecaller Chronicles but not an ending
I review this in the context of it being the last book in the Tidecaller Chronicles series. It was - in the beginning - a thoroughly pleasant experience.
The author manages to pick up the story from the end of the last book in what in my opinion is one of the best parts of the series.
Unfortunately the story keeps throwing impossible challenges at the mc. At some point, it feels like the author intentionally makes up these challanges and the suffering of the mc just for the sake of it, intentionally avoiding the trope of plot armor, ironically creating something equally annoying to the reader.
This does not change even at the end of the book, where it all to often seems like the autor just tried too hard to make the ending seem more 'adult' than it really needs to be.
All of that said, I still enjoed the Tidecaller Chronicles as a whole and really do hope that the story continues.
Queen of Blood and Blasphemy does not manage to resolve the story it builds upon and leaves much untouched. The book feels more like the season finale of a series - one that manages to resolve the issues of the past season but gives you the lasting feeling that there is more to come - or a prequel to a much wider and longer story, rather than being an definite ending to the series.
I think that this was intentionally done so by the author, (successfully) trying to make further books possible.
All things considered, while not giving the kind of complete end to the series I was expecting, Queen of Blood and Blasphemy still managed to be a well written and enjoyable book. The quality of the audiobook left little to be desired. I would reccomend this book to anyone who read (or listened to) the previous books, if you are ok with some loose ends (if the author does not continue the story ;) )
