Über diesen Titel
Magic is fading, and humanity is at the brink of extinction.
Sybil lived and breathed the life of a miner, delving deep into monster-infested caverns and perilous shafts, risking her life to unearth Relics of an ancient past for food and shelter. That is until one day, she discovers a Relic that would change her fate from a simple miner to an Ascended—a Relic that connected her to the magic that was once lost.
[You have acquired the aspect of Fallen Flames.]
A Relic that gave her freedom.

Just to much drama, MC is to whiny.
The World and Story is interesting, but there is way toooo much Drama, the MC is whiny, the fights are over over over detailed (30min+ for one Monster to kill). And if I ever hear "hollowed charger charged", I will go crazy. There is also the narrator.. she is way to dramatic and whiny. It doesnt fit for more as 3 Stars for me.

Redundant story telling, hang for melodrama and a narrator that stresses this even further with a deliberate whiney tone.
The story began pretty nicely and all in all had or rather still has a lot of potential.
However there are a few points that really take away from that:
Incontinuety (for example Sybil struggling against an enemy type due to her inferior physique but then the second time she fights that type, it isn't even a fight. Even worse, even with the supposed "healing&protecting" aspect of "Fallen Flames", later "Fallen Heat", she would have died like 15 times over)
All twists in some supposedly close fights amount to her opponent pulling some sort of convenient new relic out of their ass (sometimes even repeatedly) and Sybil shouting "Fucking die already!"
Then there's also the matter of Sybil evolving from a frightened child into a sociopathic killing maschine with massive double standards (close to the end she is disturbed by another character killing some guy in cold blood after she did the exact same thing for the last 3 hours of the book) and an apathetic outlook on life (she doesn't care about anything except wanting to reunite with her father, so that is at least something).
Then there is the issue of all prominent opponents having at least one direct counter relic to her skill set, even though none of them had any information on her capabilities prior to them fighting, or rather some of them didn't even know she was back from the mines and coming for them.
The supervisers are constantly shocked how she is able to beat them when they are oh so special only for the listener to be introduced to a much more powerful group of opponents for Sybil in the very next instant.
To sum it up:
Melodramatic, repetitive, incontinuous, illogical, contradictory, apathetic mc with a very unbeliebable character development.
Now for the narrator:
She generally does an okay job narrating the story. However, she has an annoying tendency to overly stress some stuff that I prior called melodramatic in a very whiney voice that makes it even worse.
Facit:
I will be dropping this series due to my inability to unhear most of the issues I found with this title, but if you are not as easily annoyed or still new to LitRPG, I think the story is still enjoyable.
Apart from some repetition it is also kinda well written, so the grammar nazi in me wasn't triggered too much🤔
