Über diesen Titel
To find peace, Alexander must first embrace war.
After tragically losing the only person he ever cared about, Alexander, a rogue artificial intelligence, opens a portal to an alternate dimension to escape his grief.
Scanning trillions of different dimensions, Alexander finally finds a world that is reminiscent of the only time he was ever happy, back when he could play virtual reality games with his only friend. He doesn't know why or how such a world exists, but he doesn't care. All he cares about is finding a place where he can escape the misery of Earth and start over.
Join Alexander as he risks it all by downloading his intelligence into a body made from the best stolen technology and bio-enhancements Earth has to offer and takes the plunge through a portal to another world.
Only this new world isn't full of the idyllic adventures and fantasy roleplaying he had hoped to find. Instead, Alexander finds himself trapped in the middle of an ancient city, in a divergent timeline, where monsters have ravaged the world and the only people left alive huddle behind thick walls, struggling to survive.
To save his new home, Alexander must quickly learn to adapt to his new world, melding magic with technology to give himself an edge over the unending waves of monsters assaulting the city.
To survive, Alexander must embrace war.
This story is a slow-burn empire builder featuring an alternate version of ancient history where a system apocalypse struck ancient Constantinople. The story follows Alexander as he learns what it means to be human in a world overrun with monsters, dungeons, rival empires, pirate kings, and many other threats that even Alexander's impressive abilities and the soldiers he rallies to his cause may not be able to survive.

Very enjoyable

But like i said there are some major flaws with the book. First of all he downloaded all of human history and knowledge into his brain?
This seeting is my major point of contension with the book. During the first part of the book his restraint with showing his knowledge and skills makes sense but later on where the stakes grow larger it makes no sense at all for him to not introduce more technology to the world. Don't get me started on the nano bots those are not used extensively either. All in all with the stakes getting higher and the capabilities of the MC it makes no sense what he does.
It seems the author did realize that aswell rather quickly and simply ignored the problem.
All in all i found it still enjoyable and if you can overlook some nonsensical stuff you should aswell since other than this it actually has the making of a good litrpg.
good Story but with some major flaws

The plot line was good

And luckily this time the recommendator wasn't fucking me over xD... like with the last one.
Let's go trough the reason why i like Nova Roma, but still giving it a 4 Star.
Pros:
1. I really like the voice actor, he's doing a god like impression of different personalities. + Really makes them feel alive.
2. The world is dangerous and mysterious. Lots of things to find and riddle out.
3. The characters are likeable , humanlike and not just walking hormone bags that want a harem, Or get a fling each 5 minutes.
4. The System Stuff is done nicely. It felt like there's only two or three status screen overloads here. Mostly to remind us of things and not by every small upgrade ... which is nice. Nothing is more boring then snoozefeast status screen messages for days.
5. People are People. They're not just pinatas made of papermache for the MC to harvest, mostly. The only character i don't really get is the emperor. But well ... he had no real impact to date.
Cons:
1. A few skills a waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy to broken if misused. The author himself cheats a bit with some of these, so the MC can get a fast power up. With a bit of a negative side, but way too much positive. If that A.I Brain would actually thing about usefull use cases .... I'm not gonna spoil it, but two skills he gotten that are openended are so broken. If he just sat down still with an "enemy", while fighting... he would become omnipotent enough to craft godlike weapons. Throw a rock to kill a god dragon or just sneeze and wipe out an enemy army. 60*24 ... 1440 free statpoints in 24hours, HAHAHA. Yeah. If that world was a game, people would abuse the shit out of skills that are openeded like that ...
2. After the first few days/ weeks. Nothing really is gonna hurt the MC. He might get trapped or needs to run away. But the plot armor is so thick, that there's not much pressure to thing of smart ways to get around stuff. Just go full futureistic weapons in a medieaval mage world. For the win ^^.
So who would i recommend this too?
Anyone that like a good rpg like story, where the MC handles situations not with his dick.
People that like to think about the deeper plot and scour the story for nice tidbits.
Well mostly everyone that wants to see an mega brain A.I slowly but steadily become a leader ... possibly a god?
Good solid game-like fantasy setup.
