Über diesen Titel
To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all....
If you are a fan of literature in general and enjoy novels that have become classics of their time, then you may have stumbled upon the works of Oscar Wilde from time to time.
Here, in the Oscar Wilde Collection, you can own three of his greatest works: The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Importance of Being Earnest, and The Canterville Ghost.
Who wouldn’t be thrilled by the Gothic horror of The Picture of Dorian Gray, where a vain man’s portrait ages while he remains youthful, or the classic and farcical tale of love and double lives in Victorian Britain? And who couldn’t possibly be amused by the tribulations of Sir Simon de Canterville in the wickedly funny Canterville Ghost?
This three audiobook collection is a fabulous introduction to the sometimes serious and often funny side of one of the best loved and most talented authors of all time. Download your copy today and enjoy some of the works that made Oscar Wilde the visionary writer he was!

Intriguing and Entertaining
For some, language is a means to an end, for Oscar Wilde it is a paint brush used to create a new reality.
The Picture of Dorian Gray explores the question of action and consequence, of perception and reality, of identity and pretence. Deeply intriguing and oftentimes unsettling the story follows the protagonist down the path to his own undoing, leaving the question of guilt and fault open. Who is the Monster at the end of this book?
The Importance of Being Earnest is more upbeat an entertaining, a play of confusion and white lies that catch up with their tellers.
The Canterville Ghost is both a sweet ghosts tory with a happy ending, as well as a deeper question of purpose and consequence.
Jonathan Waters gives these stories a voice, bringing them alive and making the posed questions personal. Even the second story, which remains in its original script as a stage play, does not suffer but profit from being read by a single person.
Highly recommendable, one would only wish it included more of Wilde's works.
