A blast!
Very light on stats, great narration. Does not slog, there is always something happening. Relatable MC that comes to power slowly at first. Enjoyed it!

Not the greatest ever, but I seriously enjoyed this ♡
I've read some comments before buying and yea, Actus didn't quite have the pacing right all the time but... the overall story was really cool! I loved the magic system! I loved the characters! Loved the ending! (was a bit rushed though) ... I'll probably come back for a relisten in a few months ^-^

Solid progression / magic school fantasy
I didn't quite like the stats system and it's not even really relevant to the story. Might have been better without.
There is a snarky companion and some nice spellcrafting and magic theory, which I enjoyed. Protagonist is neither village idiot, nor instantly overpowered by his own merit (only his companion is). There is little real danger until later in the series though.
The story is finished and has a proper ending as well. Recommendation for this all-in-one omnibus
