I did expect more of an Agatha Christie style story judging by the title and description. But the background topic driving the actions of most characters was way darker. It is an important topic, so I did like the story in general, but really think the book& audiobook urgently needs a trigger warning!
I cannot give it 5 stars as for my taste the author tried to fit in too many topics at once voilence against women, a love story, LGBTQIA acceptence, divers family issues as well as social media/ influencer citics. Some times less is more.

Although very sinister in the context of, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A night train to Scotland, three murders and an intelligent, but traumatized retired inspector. A lot of the plot has to do with rape, so it might be triggering. I found this the strongest part of the book, thinking unfortunately how many women can relate to this. The narrator is impeccable, the story well crafted and the end is satisfying.
