“Can you love more than one person?” A lot of conversations about nonmonogamy start this way. When we discuss “opening” relationships, contemplate whether we want to be exclusive with our partners, or introduce multiple partners to friends and family, we are asking the people in our lives, and ourselves, to contend with this question.

Great Evolution
During our transition, the first edition of More Than Two often left us feeling overwhelmed, to the point where we almost considered giving up, thinking we could never manage it. In contrast, the second edition feels much more nuanced. While it still addresses all the pitfalls and challenges of non-monogamy, it allows space for personal reflection and cautions against overly extreme or radical interpretations of the content. Additionally, it doesn’t shy away from addressing difficult topics such as abuse or coercion.
