As with so many SF stories this one illustrates our current follies - brilliantly so.
Paradose lost - but not a cushy one.
The ecosystem imagines by Foster is, hm, striking, the invaders: us.
What made the colonists to become so successfully symbiotic with their new environment?
What does to "emfold" mean?
What are the marks of curiosity, valor, madness, communal sense?
What makes this story so compelling?

if you like Avatar, humans connecting on a greater level with nature. Adventure and perseverance, this is a great shortish book to listen to. Loved it, performance was also smooth.
