Über diesen Titel
Ariel Merman is a new drag queen who finds a family at Hamburger Mary’s. After a performance as Ariel, Zachary Cooper walks home in his makeup and is physically assaulted by homophobes. Zachary’s worry that the attack has thrown a wrench in his good fortune is eased when he looks into the eyes of his doctor.
Dr. Teegan Chau is a little lost after divorcing his wife and coming out of the closet, but he can’t deny his attraction to the young man he patches up. When Zachary takes the initiative and asks Teegan out, romance is the easy part of their blossoming relationship - as they deal with an ex-wife and child, being a drag queen in a heteronormative culture, Zachary’s lingering trauma, and Teegan acclimating to life as part of an out-and-proud gay couple.
The challenges seem daunting. Can Zachary and Teegan make it through the rough patches and take a chance on love?

My most favourite Hamburger Mary's episode
Zachary and his alter ego „Ariel Merman“ have been a background character so far. In the real world Zachary thinks he is too small and unremarkable as a man, but performing on stage as feminine Ariel he turns into a self-confident person, making every head turn. When Zachary is attacked and injured so severely that he needs surgery, he (and I) never imagined to meet someone like Dr.Teegan. Teegan is instantly drawn to fragil Zachary, his protective mode in full overdrive. Being of Chineses origin and once married with a daughter, his coming-out had been disastrous to his traditional parents. After Zachary is released from hospital, the two men pursue the attraction between them, and I loved how they connected.
Brandon Witt has created unforgettable characters, who come from all walks of life and all face diffentent issues due to their ethnics, sexual orientation and culture, making their stories unique and gripping. Honestly, first I couldn't imagine timid Zachary and hard working doctor Teegan becoming a couple. But Mr. Witt's fluent wrirting was so realistic and engaging, that I instantly fell for both guys hard. Despite being such a colorful bunch, the Hamburger Mary's staff are more of a family than the real ones. How they checked on Zachary and added Teegan easily into their mix was incerdibly heartwarming.
This time Gerrod Larkyn is back to the young and softer voices of maybe the most unusual couple of the series. Thanks to his voice talent one can really feel timid Zach changing into confident Ariel and back again. And when Teegan readily and unconditionaly accepted Zachary's Ariel Merman persona, I wanted to hug the stuffing out of them both!
