This book really helped me understand many of the peculiarities of Korean culture today as well as just how incredibly fast the development of South Korea has progressed since the division. It also made me realise once again that a lot of conflict could have been avoided had western “allies” acted differently.

For the short run time, it touches so many topics, not just the well known ones, but also many lesser known. im thoroughly enjoying this history lesson! highly recommend! even tho it's about Korean history as a whole, it separates each Korea's history.
