Unexpectedly a little disappointing this time

Usually I just love, love, love Lori Wilde, I already read a bunch of books of hers and listened to some other books from this series already, but this one is somehow a little disappointing. I actually don't like the female character. I totally understand her fears and problems due to her past but I do ask myself how was this woman ever able to survive alone. Besides she is not very clever, especially towards the end. I expected much more of her and was really disappointed by her actions. Sorry, but I was just not hooked this time, but I guess that everyone has to make up his own mind about this story. However the narrator was great a ever. Except from this one I will always recommend books by Lori Wilde, also from this series.
