MC gets dumber each book
The MC is acting more and more like a petulant child in each installment of the series. Now Reverend is a father and of course he is starting to act up and doing stupid things. In conversations with allies he tells them: "Fuck You" and that is what I would also like the author to understand from this review. Could you get any more lazy?
How are we supposed to identify with this raging idiot?? This series is full of unresolved plotholes. Why and who is spying on the marines and their AIs? They even developed a dumb way of communicating privately with seemingly no point whatsoever. It remains unresolved. Entire family of MC disappears. MC doesn't get more than a sinking feeling and it is basically forgotten. Just a dumb plot device so that MC can start going on a neverending journey. MC and his AI have deep conversations that always cut off before any significant questions can be asked or resolutions gained. Imagine having someone in your head for 24/7 and never actually having a real conversation. Then "evil corporates" manipulate his attached weapon with a killswitch.. nothing ever comes of it.
I got this far and I regret most choices that the authors are making here. Yes, I will acknowledge that you can describe the military.. but the rest is reading super dumb. Please let chatgpt fix some of these plotholes!
