This 2nd book isnt as good as the first book. there are way to many words to come to any point. the Progress feels a bit slow. the MC seems like to be a bit less Intelligent as before. and its kinda annoying that they have whole conversations between attacks, while fighting.

the narrator is good, but sometimes its a bit hard to hear the different characters.

I didn't expect to enjoy the second book as much as I did because of the potential of the MC's power to derail the grind. Somehow, the second book is better than the first. The progression feels good, the MC still encounters monsters, recognises talent, and has to work to achieve success.

Even better than the first book

The main character is finally making real connections with people who aren't completely sociopathic, nor one bad moment away from deciding he's more trouble than he's worth. Dialogue is fun now, Phelps is best pet, and characters are hilarious.

The main gimmick of the story is extremely satisfying, to the point that I wish other stories are going to immitate it. It's just a great moment every time the MC pulls out something completely, ridiculously overpowered, be that in private, or in company, especially if that something is a permanent power up.

Can't wait for book 3!
