Yoella reflects upon her past life with her daughter and tries to determine what went wrong. Her daughter no longer wants anything to do with her and yet she only ever wanted the best for her and loves her dearly. This novel leaves much room for the reader to form their own interpretation and is a study of the parent - child relationship which can be so complex on so many levels. A beautifully written piece that will stay with the reader for a long time.

Moving and disturbing. A very gripping novel about a mother - daughter relationship.
