This was a highly anticipated book/audio release and so worth the wait!
How to get Lucky is co-written by Lauren Blakely and Joe Arden. You would not think this was Joe´s first work as an author and together, oh boy, did they knock, writing this amazingly fun, sexy, flirty story from a male POV, out of the park. Believe me, Teddy´s inner thoughts are so much fun and had me laugh out loud a lot!
Teddy, a Deejay meets London, a dance choreographer, for the first time at his work, when she is rocking to a song, air guitar style.
Coincidentally they meet again whilst being out with their dogs. All seems to be going well, sparks fly, they discover their mutual love for dogs & music, and their chemistry is just off-the-charts.
They go on a date, where Teddy finds out this tiny little detail that makes dating London off-limits. Trying to do the right thing, they decide to go the friendship route, which let’s face it, proofs to be complicated with their undeniable attraction. Will rules be followed or are they quickly broken?
We are treated to a very entertaining, sweet, sexy, rib-tickling story with great music references & awesome dialogue. You really notice that Joe had a hand in co-writing this. Also hilarious are London´s text chats with her BFF´s. Some of my favourite parts in this book. All in all, the perfect love story. Loved it so much!
The Audio performances, well there really is not much to say, its Joe Arden, so of course, it's perfect. Loved the addition of Erin Mallon, Emma Wilder & Maxine Mitchell, as London and her two best friends, who are voicing the text chats. This Woman Power Trio is just simply fantastic.
The outtakes, OMG the outtakes, make sure you listen to those!
