Bruce, Laird of Aberdeen of Clan McGregor and Andrew, knight of Clan McGregor, have been best friends since childhood. They went to battle together and always came home victorious, leading to the two men making a pact to remain loyal and faithful to one another for life.

But when Dolina notices the attention Bruce is paying to Annabel, jealousy creeps in.
When Bruce and Andrew go to battle, Bruce makes a shocking confession to Andrew. When the battle is over and the men return home, Annabel confronts her worst fears as she learns what Bruce confessed to Andrew. Furious, she vows to get revenge on Bruce, no matter what the cost, even if it's her own life. But Bruce will stop at nothing to make Annabel his.
