From my personal opinion, this book is a great keynote lecture for young readers like myself to understand the past geopolitical relations between the east and the west, where they current stand and how could/should they move forward together in decades to come.

Most of the well-known/mainstream media and press tend to report eye-catching titles with sometimes astonishing quotes without considering context, in order to fuel the tension and escalate debates. I think it’s high time for all of us rethink the world and for global leaders to make decisions rationally and multiculturally.

An excellent book on Sino-American story

Als Europäer und westlich geprägter Mensch habe ich diesen anderen Blick und die kluge Analyse genossen.
In jedem Fall ein lohnender Blick über den Tellerrand.

After listening to this book I now understand better when my Chinese wife tells me "you have to see China in context with its history and culture" after me bluntly criticising China.

Kishore Mahbubani gives a very interesting and diplomatic view on most criticisms of Chinese policy. I highly recommend the book to everyone who wants to hear another very well researched and rational side to the western media coverage. You don't have to agree with everything the author concludes but I would bet many people will see American Chinese geopolitics differently after listening to this audio book.

Valuable insight into Chinese and American culture

Kishore hat in seinem Buch eine Perspektive über die USA gezeigt, die vielen Menschen unbewusst und bis her nicht leicht zugänglich war. Möge die demokratischen Mechanismen von Selbstkorrektur auch in unserer aktuellen Zeitgeschichte spürbar sein. Ich fand eine Aussage dennoch sehr interessant, dass China keinerlei Ambitionen für die Weltherrschaft hegt, da ihre Führungskräfte realistisch sind und keine „Mission impossible“ nacheifern!

Teilweise sehr gute Informationen, Analysen und Vorschläge. Ich hatte jedoch erwartet, dass der Autor zumindest genauso detailliert auf Probleme Chinas eingeht. Fehler die von China begannen werden, werden hier teilweise runtergespielt.
