Über diesen Titel

Remy Devereux is an ace homicide detective with the SFPD. At work, she's embroiled in a months-long murder investigation that has yet to show any signs of breaking. At home, she's on the skids with her soon-to-be ex-girlfriend, while nightmares of the gruesome murder scene keep her up at night.

The stakes couldn't be higher as the two women put their heads together to work the case, drawing ever closer to finding the killer-and ever closer to finding each other. Try as they might to ignore it, the attraction they feel becomes something neither one of them can deny.

This is the story of a budding love between a cop and a forensic scientist. There is also murder involved, but that is more in the backdrop.

Up and foremost it is about two interesting strong women who meet and have some internal obstacles to overcome to find love.

The reading was ok. There are other speakers who are able to distinguish better between characters so maybe I’m spoiled a little.

Overall it was well worth listening to and I’ll sure do it again and will also look out for another book by Dolores Arden!

Schöne Liebesgeschichte mit Tiefgang und Suspense zwischen weiblichem „Detektive“ und der neuen Forensikerin. Rizzoli and Iles lässt grüßen!

Spannend, schön, heiß

Both main characters were incredibly annoying. Adults reacting like hapless teenagers, with no proper communication skills aren't my cup of tea. I'd have preferred less of the so called "romance" and racy scenes and more detective story and character growth. Both women were thoroughly unlikeable, self centred and immature, especially the detective.
I liked the beginning of the story, with the murder mystery and was quite frustrated it only got minimal development. To be fair, the story is supposed to be a romance, but a bit more suspense and detective work would have made the whole thing much more interesting.
The reader did an amazing job, and was the only reason I kept listening.
