Über diesen Titel
Now stronger than ever, Salvos finally returns from the Bloodied Gulf!
After learning a Grand Skill thanks to her father's unconventional training, it was time to depart for the human lands. Much has happened since she was gone. For one, demons are running wild and hunting her companions. For another, everything else has become so much...weaker.
Grand Skill is book six in the Salvos series.

Salvos is somehow leveling the world
Initially the human lands seemed week, a far cry from the glory of Alexander's rule. Now more and more powerful humans and monsters show up. It makes a little sense that those who aspire to be like salvos would do well but what about all the other powerful humans?
Also salvos seems to forget her arsenal.
Development of side characters is fine.
Overall storytelling still plenty entertaining.

Why is the Salvos so much worse at fighting now?
It's still a Salvos story and you get pretty much what you expect if you know the other books, but I feel that the fight IQ of Salvos has started a bad downwards curve since book 4 or at the latest since book 5.
My biggest misgiving is that she never uses her space magic for interesting tactics, for hells sake, she has SPACE magic, besides time and possibly gravity magic it's probably the most widely applicable magic there is and all she does is sometimes teleport and very rarely analyse a space distorting technique. Where're the weapons teleported right beside or even inside enemies, where're the portals and/or space distortions used for offense and/or defense, why not teleport enemies around to confuse them?
Then there're other things for example when Salvos turned back time to cut an enemys arm off again after he healed it, why not just cut his head off the 2nd time around or at least grab him so he can't run away after he loses his arm. Yea, she has this demon of pride thing going on, but being proud doesn't mean you can't make intelligent decisions.
It also annoys me somewhat how the lvl system makes no sense or put another way sometimes even small lvl differences seem to have a big impact and other times huge lvl differences are handled like a rounding error.
The world building is also starting to suffer because of all the very high lvl characters springing up from nowhere, stuff like the lich from the plague lands who was described as this insane threat seems now more like some busywork that could be done in an afternoon stroll by some of those very high lvl adventurers and the main conflict of the 1st book feels very unbelieveable now that armies of platinum adventurers and platinum ranked monsters are running around.
