Ghosts of Chartres House is the haunting story of Claire Sherril who inherits a Louisiana mansion in bayou country from her deceased stepmother.
Claire, a divorced Atlanta psychologist travels to Louisiana with her rag doll cat, Samantha. The property is in poor condition. Soon Claire experiences visitors from another realm whose long fingers reach through time with agendas of their own. She acquires a housekeeper, Voodoo Mamou, adept in the dark arts.With Mamou's help, Claire battles spirits and ghosts.
Claire's life is further complicated when two senseless murders occur at her place of employment. A handsome sheriff's deputy working the murders fascinates Claire. Bombarded with the other world and murders in the present world, Claire finds herself moving deeper and deeper into dark alleys of mental and physical intrigue.
