Katmer Al-Shei owns a company that deals in a new form of communication. While on a business trip to Deep Space (hope she at least got business class for that commute) she is misidentified as a traitor and spy. As Al-Shei works to untangle the mess she’s now in, she stumbles upon a series of conspiracies that are of galactic consequence.

Very religious

This book was way too religious for my taste. (And no, I’m not against Muslim‘s, I just don’t care about any religion.) And especially in a space opera I didn’t expect so much praying, praising and whatnot. Apart from this, the character‘s really didn’t connect for me. I started this book twice, the first time I stopped at 2 hours in, now I’m 6 hours in and I can’t make myself finish it. But hey, maybe that’s just me.
