This book blends 3 themes together:
1. The history of cat domestication. Cats domesticates themselves when humans changed from hunter/gatherer societies to farmers
2. A summary of selected main strains of philosophy. Epicureans, Stoics, Christianity, Buddhism and briefly Postmodernism
3. Stories about cats written by famous writers, thinkers and philosophers.

The history of cats and the stories are highly entertaining. The phosophical part is densely packed and will be difficult to follow without background knowledge.
The book will not disappoint any sophisticated cat lover.
