Does not live up to the hype
Although overal it is a good enough story, I don't think the book lives up to the hype of "best thriller of the year" it has. Some of the characters are well developed, but overall I miss depth and truly unexpected turns of events. Not bad, and a nice read, but not (yet) "up there",however holds promise for the future works of the author.

Cliché-ridden and unrealistic
Success doesn’t always equate to quality. This book has been a phenomenal success, but its quality is rather questionable. The characters are walking cliches, the prose is unremarkable, and while the premise is strong, the plot quickly abandons all pretense of logic.
I love a good aviation thriller. Unfortunately, this isn’t one.

ok, but not great
It was entertaining, but for me a bit too cliché, US versus middle-eastern countries.
The perfect wife/ love-story. Too many too perfect coincidences.
