Overall good story - but too many logic and science discrepancies

A few examples while trying to avoid spoilers:
- Detecting a device signature while it is turned off
- Many instances of unrealistic timeframes (way too short for what is accomplished)
- Science details that do not fit with the overall science of the previous books
