Village life is supposed to be quiet....

Josie Beaumont is a free spirit. She changes jobs about as often as she changes her relationship status. Frequently! The only constants in her life are the comfy old shoes that she refuses to part with.

Dieser zweite Band der Reihe hat mich nicht enttäuscht. Es war eine Bereicherung zum Überstehen dieses Sommerregentages. Die Hauptperson war mir zwar etwas zu wankelmütig, um ein überzeugendes Ende hinzulegen, aber es war nett, die Hunde, die Landschaft, die Pub- Besuche und die nette Besitzerin der Hundepension usw. mit zu erleben. Ich werde mal gleich noch den nächsten Band anhören und schauen, ob das nun wirklich klappt mit den beiden - die sich meines Erachtens eigentlich jeweils für ein Fortführen der Beziehung bereits disqualifiziert hatten. Zumindest war in meinen Augen die Leidenschaft eh nie dramatisch entflammt und dann ziemlich erloschen, aber vielleicht bin ich auch einfach zu pessimistisch.
Gerne hätten die Erzählungen noch detaillierter ausfallen können. Das Potential der schönen Ortschaft am Meer wurde nicht wirklich ausgeschöpft, finde ich. Durch mehr Detailbeschreibungen könnte das Buch noch lebendiger rüberkommen.
