Katie Chandler had always heard that New York is a weird and wonderful place, but this small-town Texas gal had no idea how weird until she moved there. The narrators voice didn't do it for me at all. My ears hurt after a while.
And I coudn't really relate to the characters, neither to the herroine nor to the too stilted magic people.
Won't buy the next installment.

I have about 1 1/2 hours to go and I will stop listening now. I was thinking that this could be one of those books that start off reeaaalllyy slowly and gets better the further you get into it. For me, this is not the case. Boring plot line, very flat characters and no suspense whatsoever. This is a definite NO from me.
